Who am I?
Welcome to Living With Unicorns, Life of an Unexpecting Girl Mom! My name is Drew and I’m a 21 year old stay at home mom of two fabulous girls: Willow, 2.5, and Emma, 10 months. I’m also a wife, sister, and daughter. I was not expecting to become a mom when I did, (at 18) and I most certainly don’t consider myself to be the perfect mom of girls. I would rather sit down with a video game than play dress up or paint nails. I’m not very good at doing hair or makeup. I can’t coordinate colors or match clothing for the life of me. I sing too loud and I bake too much. BUT, I do pride myself in my ability to love and care for my family, and that is all that matters. I love my babies and I do my best to create a good home for them, even though I’ve been in survival mode for the last 2.5 years!
Let’s be real, we’re all drowning in 8 feet of dirty diapers. It’s my goal to not let you drown alone. Working moms, work from home moms, single moms, stay at home moms: all are welcome. I’m not perfect, and I will never claim to have all the answers. However, I do hope to share some of my stories and some of the things that have helped me out along the way in the hopes to help out someone else. Motherhood can be isolating. The nights are long, the days are long, the to do list is long, but I don’t settle for long faces. So come on in to Living With Unicorns and take refuge in the fact that you are not alone, even though you haven’t had a real adult conversation in two years… or is that just me?
